Filthy Gorgeous Fashion Best Dressed at the Golden Globes 2012

Golden Globe's Best Dressed

Angelina Jolie in Atelier Versace Gown: This gown looked gorgeous on Angelina.Such a refreshing change from her usual black looks which might be partly why I got excited about this dress.I love the red accents with the clutch, her lips and the dress it helps pull this look off nicely. It was perfection.

Emma Stone in Lanvin: This dress was custom made for her and to me was maybe the best dress of the night. The colors make her eyes pop and I loved everything from the fabric to the way it fit her.Not to mention the appearance of an eagle on her belt which added some personality and actually helped bring the look alive.

Rooney Mara in Nina Ricci: I know everyone is sick of Rooney wearing black but honestly she can do no wrong to me.This Nina Ricci gown was the epitome of effortless chic.I loved the tulle accents, the peek a boo sides and even that posh yet super simple ponytail.

Charlize Theron in Dior: In love with this look on Charlize. Many might disagree with the dress but to me it was feminine and she rocked it with those stems of hers peeking out for a tease. The headband added to the feminine and flirty feeling of this look.

Sophia Vergara in Vera Wang: Sophia knows her curves and definitely how to rock them. This Vera Wang fit her body like a glove and the color complimented  her as well.It is so refreshing to see a curvy women not afraid to wear a tight dress.Note the details on the bottom of the dress which in my opinion made the dress that more intricate and beautiful.

The Power of Accessories

(Forever 21 Shawl,House of Harlow 1960 “Nicole”Sunglasses,Vintage Shorts,Minnetonka Boots,Unknow tights)

I am obsessed with this shawl,my new House of Harlow 1960 Sunglasses that my bf got me for Christmas and my Minnetonka boots which I also got for Christmas. My outfit would be nothing without those three accessories. This shawl is super versatile and you can literally wear it in so many ways. These sunglasses scream vintage glamour and are even more perfect because I have no eye makeup on today (oops:)). My Minnetonka boots instantly transform any outfit into boho chic.I’ve seen my style icon Nicole Richie rockin these for years and finally after lustin for them for forever I asked for them for Christmas. You need to own a pair of Minnetonkas! I also tried a new hairstyle inspired by Pintrest (http://pinterest.com/pin/71565081548377680/) ! I am a bun fiend so when I saw a way to incorporate a braid into the mix I got super excited:) Check it out in my pics! Super easy to do and adds a little extra to the every day bun.

tell me when you hear my heart stop.

(Nordstroms Leopard Coat,H&M Dress,Fishnet Tights,Vintage Bracelet)

I wore this to a Christmas Party a couple of weeks ago.I knew I really wanted to wear my leopard coat but I wasn’t sure if it would go with this dress at first but once I put it on I fell in love.I added the fishnet tights just to enhance the vintage feel of it.I am sorry I didn’t get too many good angles (this is def something I will work on) but I loved rockin this outfit.

Do You Love it?Dusters and Fur Jackets

I am so excited that it is finally starting to get cold out I was getting sick of  it being hotter the hell in the middle of October.I was savoring every moment when it would be cold enough that I would need a jacket, that sadly became rare moments. I have been noticing in the trend department two trendy jackets this season. They are feather dusters( basically a long cardigan that comes from mid thigh to the floor) and Fur Jackets. Feather dusters are totally 7th grade for me, I owned a couple of them. One of my faves was a glamorous one that  had a boa like collar and I still have it to this day, shall be rocking that soon. Fur jackets are also on the scene but I mean when have they not been? They are like Leather Jackets in the sense that they will forever be classic.Use Fur Jackets to spice up a super casual outfit. The trick with fur is to mix it with casual looks or else you might look a lil hoochie mama.Dusters are just the perfect new cardigan for the winter time I definitely recommend trying them out as well!

Do You Love it? Pastel Hair & Colored Tips

I literally have had my hair dyed every color since 6th grade when I had a bad case of Sun In ( warning NEVER use if you aren’t full on blonde or you will be a pumpkin head for the next 5 years). I literally couldn’t get it out of my hair and the sad part was I thought it was cool at the time. Anyways I am to the point where nothing really excites me too much with hair dye the last exciting thing was ombre and that was because I didn’t have to dye my roots constantly. Then came pastel hair and I got way too obsessive with wanting to try. Now I am not saying dye your hair blue like the runway models but I definitely think it is exciting to put a few strands of pink if your a blonde or blue if your a brunette in your hair for fun. It is a nice change up and it doesn’t have to permanet. Take a note from My Little Pony and test it out. I am having my hair girl ( shout out to Autumn) do mine this week and I will definitely share!. I would love to see your looks if you test it out..upload them on my Filthy Gorgeous Fashion Facebook Page. Check out my inspiration board I created below!
