Fall 2011 Fashion Week

It’s that time of the year again where we get a sneak peek of our favorite designers goodies for the Fall. Fashion week is usually pretty overwhelming to keep track of so I really just want to share my favorites for you all. Please feel free to comment or send me an e-mail FilthyGorgeousFashion@gmail.com about what designers you would like me to feature and I would be happy to do so. I hope you all can gather some inspiration for the fall from these collections. I will be positing more and more so keep an eye out.

LAMB Fall 2011 Runway

I have to begin with one of my favorite designers Gwen Stefani. Here collection was divided up into six groups according to Style.com “The show was divided into six groups, each with its own look, its own soundtrack, and its own models (often, a little oddly, grouped by race). The “Soldier Girls” wore military looks. The Rasta “Ragga Muffins,” Navajo print. Some “London Girls” had menswear-inspired suiting, and Malcolm McLaren-style “Buffalo Girls” were outfitted with outdoorsy blanket plaids. The “Mod Girls” wore leopard, stripes, and dots, and the “Glamour Girls” who closed—all Stefani-blonde—had seventies jumpsuits and halters in basic black.” I love the sunglasses and scarf look it just makes each outfit that much more chic and badass. What I love about LAMB is how distinct her designs are when you see something with plaid, striped or with a rasta inspired look to it you just know it’s Gwen.

Marchesa Fall 2011 Runway

Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig are some of the greatest designers of our time. I am overly obsessed with anything these ladies create they are literally pieces of art. I hope one day I can put on one of their gowns even just for a second. Chapman credits insonmia  for leading them to the inspiration for this collection. She watched  Great Expectations a night she couldn’t sleep and was inspired by Miss Havisham for Fall. “I love the decaying opulence,” Chapman said. “We just thought, It’s so Marchesa.” (style.com) Literally everthing down this runway made my heart stop these ladies are insanely amazing.
