I wanna see..The September Issue

Anna Wintour, legendary editor-in-chief of Vogue magazine for twenty years is one of the most powerful and influential figures in the fashion industry. Up till now she has never allowed anyone to see her inner workings in the magazine till now. Filmmaker R.J Cutler’s film ” The September Issue” is going to take us into a world few know about, which I think can closely be described as Devil Wears Prada. The September Issue of Vogue is what millions of people lust for, in fact the 2007 issue was and remains the biggest ever, weighing over four pounds, selling thirteen million copies and impacting 300 billion global fashion industry more than any single publication. In other words, The September Issue is what the fashion world waits for to dictate what’s in what’s out and what the trends are going to be. Since designers I believe make their money off of who wears their clothes and what is shown as the “it” fashion must have items, you can see how much power Vogue has in saying what designers they will include in the issue and who they won’t. It fascinates me that it really comes down to this one mini mushroom head with sunglasses who bitches to everyone tells the world what to wear. I read a book ” Fashion Babylon” that I am sure I shared with you before but it talks about  how having Anna Wintour in the front row of your show proves you made it as a fashion designer. The movie should be out nation-wide by September 11th. I can’t wait to see this bitch in action. Also I wanted to remind you that ” Valentino: The Last Emperor” dvd is also coming out September 8th  and if you haven’t seen this yet and your a fashion lover it is a must. I am really excited to watch the dvd extras because there is suppose to be lots of goodys on there.. yum.
